Currently based in Auckland, for the past four years this candidate has been working within the robotics domain for start-ups in New Zealand. Working as a Senior Mechatronics Engineer, his current position see’s him work on the architecture of robots from Boston Dynamics. Prior to this, he has been an Engineering Lead for another robotics centred startup in which he focused on the integration of IoT technologies for autonomous vehicles.

Before working with the startup domain, he had spent several years working in research for Tech Futures Lab in Auckland which saw him pair with various private sector companies to not only educate their employees, but to partake in robotics centred research. Prior to relocating to Auckland, he had completed his PhD in Mechatronics and Robotics alongside having worked as a Software Engineer in his native Iran.

Whilst thoroughly enjoying his work and living in Auckland, due to his organisations size he cannot progress any further as he is the most senior there. As such he is seeking an environment where he can not only grow from a career standpoint, but a technical one too. He and his wife have been seeking to relocate to Australia for some time (due to seeking a better lifestyle) and as such he is very much interested in positions in Brisbane.
