This candidate has been with their current employer since 2019, showing consistent progression in that time.  They now feel they have reached the limit of their learning potential and are keen to join a new business where they can continue to grow.  Reporting to the FC and an overseas parent company, they take ownership of overseeing AP, managing the month-end process and the preparation of the statutory compliance including BAS, FBT, payroll tax and corporate tax return.  They assist with the budget and forecast and get involved with ad hoc projects as they arise.

Current responsibilities:

•    Prepare financial statements in accordance with Australian accounting standards

•    Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts

•    Prepare monthly cash flow forecast and project reports for senior leadership team

•    Prepare and review statutory compliance in relation to BAS, FBT, state payroll tax, corporate tax return and R&D tax concession

•    Arrange and assist with external audits

•    Prepare month-end closures and balance sheet reconciliation

•    Monitor fixed asset movements

•    Support new business unit set up including system testing and workflow design

•    Review and update internal purchases and approval processes.

•    Prepare and process a monthly payroll

•    Supervise Account Payable
