This candidate is a senior property and portfolio leader with deep experience across government, health, maritime and industrial environments, known for building new property functions, strengthening governance, and leading multi‑site operations to deliver long‑term, value‑driven outcomes.  They currently head the land and property function for a major ports group, where they designed the strategic property framework, manage 200+ leases across multiple sites, drive compliance and audit programs, oversee budgets and forecasts, and lead commercial negotiations and state land administration.  Previously, they established a health service’s inaugural property function, managing a 150+ asset portfolio (freehold, Crown and leased), advising the CEO/Board, executing complex acquisitions (including a 59‑bed facility), and directing COVID‑19 property responses and large‑scale relocations.  

Earlier roles span senior leadership in local government property teams—running major acquisition programs, standardising documentation and processes, mentoring staff, and delivering strategic land reviews, asset rationalisation and statutory compliance—plus hands‑on delivery of capital works and building assets programs across more than 100 municipal facilities.  Their toolkit includes property strategy, leasing and negotiations, Crown/public land compliance, policy and framework development, financial stewardship, stakeholder engagement, change leadership and risk management, underpinned by formal qualifications in property, project management and change management.
