This candidate is an experienced boilermaker with a wealth of experience within his trade. Currently, he is working in a leading hand role in a local heavy engineering workshop in Mackay.

This candidate is looking for a role where he can further his skills and experience in a leading hand / supervisor position for Boilermaking. He is currently working 7/7 Roster due to custody of his kids and needs to stay within the same roster.

He is open to interviewing at any time and is able to gain any further tickets for a role if needed.

ATTRIBUTES:
BOILERMAKER / WELDER
• Experienced with Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMAW)
• Experienced with Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
• Experienced with Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
• Experienced with Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
• Experienced in Heavy Fabrication & Repairs to various structures & equipment including heavy plate and pipe work
• Dragline and shovel construction/maintenance experience
• Fabrication construction and maintenance experience
• Competent in reading, interpret and conveying technical information regards drawings, plans and other reference documents
• Undertake numerical operations, geometry and calculations/formulas
• Use diagnostic skills to identify and determine cause of faults, including interpretation of in-build fault indicator and error codes.
• Use appropriate measuring techniques
• Excellent problem solving skills and use of common fabrication terminology
• Exceptional fabrication skills (mild steel, stainless steel, bisloy steel & aluminum)
• Experienced with plasma and oxy cutting
• Experienced with Air Arc, Oxy gouging and lancing experience
• Experienced with Shelf Shield gasless wires, Solid and flux cored gas shielded wires, aluminum wires, stainless steel wires and electrodes
• Ability to weld to testing standing with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various plant such as drill press, band saw, profile cutting
• Punch and Shears, guillotine, break press, lathes etc.
