My candidate is currently based in Melbourne and has spent the last few years being the Lead Project Designer at a reputable manufacturing company. They have played a pivotal part in the creation of the well known product that is regularly used in the mining industry, the oil and gas industry and the water industry. Prior to that they were a Lead Mechanical Engineer where they would take the lead in designing bespoke solutions for their mining clients.

Project Design
• They are comfortable with the creation of new designs.
• Looking at concepts designs and design calculations and make sure they align with standards.
• Confident giving feedback to external stakeholders and clients, working with the to create their design, create the full project scope from costs to expected launch and answer any technical questions client may have.
• They and their team would check what the market shortages are and work out ways to either completely create / improve them.
• Responsible for finding vendors and finding all products and materials, would then guide supply chain team on all future procurement for materials.

Leadership.
• Works with a team of 4 project design engineers in Adelaide and 4 more in India. has created a system where he and both teams can communicate efficiently and effectively.
• They assist in leading and assisting the team of mechanical engineers.
• They conducts. milestone meetings and gives performance reviews.
• Says they have a hands on approach with the team in the warehouse. They like getting out, meeting and getting to know everyone. They will gladly listen to any issues the production team might have and works with them to create design changes that makes the development and creation an easier process.
