A dynamic and results-driven HR/IR/ER Senior Advisor with experience in human resources, industrial/employee relations, and employment law across the public and private sectors.
- Expertise in all aspects of employment matters, including discipline processes and procedures, discrimination, sexual harassment, bullying, unfair dismissal, wage and hour disputes, and employment contracts.
- Proven track record of successfully representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and industrial conferences and hearings.
- Skilled in drafting and reviewing discipline and termination correspondence, employment policies, and agreements to ensure federal, state, and local legislation compliance.
- Provide legal, HR, employee and industrial relations advice and support to ensure compliance
- Draft letters, applications, and documents in relation to HR and employment procedures
- Expertise in providing employment and industrial advice and advocacy support to both the employer and multiple clients
- Conduct research and analysis of human resource and industrial relations trends, issues, and responses
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholder groups, including governments and unions
- Deliver feedback on government agency policies and public sector industrial instruments
- Support IR initiatives, including dispute resolution and leading enterprise bargaining negotiations
- Represent and advocate for members and clients in tribunal matters, including fair treatment appeals
- Attend hearings for public service appeals of temp to permanent, casual to permanent matters in QIRC
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Laws with Honours, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
