This candidate has extensive experience in internal, external and change communications, starting his career at Transport for NSW where he planned and delivered change communications for large-scale reform programs. These highly-unionised reforms required careful planning of staff engagement activities, guiding senior leaders on approach and messaging, and reviewing reform documentation to streamline the consultation process for each branch and division.

Following his return to WA, his most recent role was responsible for managing all community engagement for major infrastructure projects across WA. These infrastructure projects ranged in cost up to $30 million and each required a detailed engagement plan to understand the impacts of the construction works on the community, as well as how the company would collaborate with state government agencies including METRONET and other utilities.

In this role, he provided end-to-end planning and delivery of comms and engagement activities for each project including mapping and building relationships with government and community stakeholders, designing and delivering media and collateral (letter drops, newspaper ads, posters, flyers, social media, web pages and construction signage) and advising the multi-disciplinary construction team on best practices and recommendations for mitigating reputational risks and complaints from residents, businesses and local government.
