Currently based in Melbourne (with frequent travel to Brisbane), this canddiate is currently the Head of Engineering for Hitachi Rail. Overseeing all IT, OT, Telecommunication and Rail Communication aspects of Brisbane’s multibillion dollar Cross River Rail program (with a focusing on the advanced European Train Control System [ETCS]), this role is extremely varied. From overseeing the physical, analogy and digital interoperability of the technical systems in use (including designs, requirements, use cases, etc) to developing digital (and business) transformation strategies, this appointment see’s him involved with a multitude of project and organisational aspects.

Prior to this position, he had been consulting for several years (including having worked in a similar capacity for the Victorian governments transportation organisation VicTrack). However most notably, he had spent circa 20 years in a global technology leadership position with Ericsson. To summaries this tenure, starting in an engineering capacity, he quickly rose to lead several regions (APAC, ANZ, Africa, etc) technical offerings. This not only included the technology aspects (such as IoT, Cloud, 4G, etc) but also sales, strategy, client engagement, transformation, solution/portfolio management and operations. To add to this significant tenure, he also oversaw each respective regions business units and contended which each locations technical requirements (and limitations), legislations, personnel, etc.

Whilst happy in his current position, the Cross River Rail is nearing completion and as such he is seeking his next appointment where he can continue to grow and contribute to an end goal.
