Currently based in Brisbane, for the past 3.5 years this candidate has been working in a FIFO based position with Caterpillar. Part of their Autonomous Vehicle team, this role see’s in travel to mine sites throughout Australia to oversee the deployment, installation and integration of their MineStar platform. Being Caterpillar’s representative, this role see’s him conduct hands on work with a variety of mechanical, digital and hardware technologies alongside managing projects, customer/dealer relations and end user training.

Prior to this, he had been in the Australia Defence Force (ADF) for over six years. Specialising within the telecommunication and networking fields, this tenure saw him deploy communications systems throughout the world in various military deployments. As part of this, his extensive training gave him various skills and qualifications across the cabling, fibre optic, Cisco, signals and digital domains. Before joining the ADF he had spent over seven years as an Auto Electrician specialising on heavy vehicles for Hastings Deering and various mining organisations throughout Queensland.

Although enjoying his current role in which he can combine his mechanical, mining and digital skill sets, whilst happy to travel for work he is seeking a Brisbane based position which is not dedicated/continual FIFO.
