Recruitment Process Outsourcing
RPO is the transfer of all, or part, of the permanent recruitment process to an external provider who works either from your site or a near site location.
RPO services typically include:
- The management of candidates from multiple channels: internal, referral, speculative candidate introductions, direct or corporate recruitment, recruitment agency – within a single process
- One or more steps of the employee or recruitment lifecycle: research and planning, talent attraction, recruitment and selection, onboarding, engagement and exit
RPO services are usually underpinned by an applicant tracking system (ATS) which facilitates management information to drive strategic decisions and ensure the provider is optimising the recruitment processes.
Contingent Workforce Solutions or Managed Service Provision (MSP)
Contingent Workforce Solutions or MSP is the management of the sourcing, engagement and administration of temporary and other “non-permanent” resources and tasks by an external provider onsite or at a near site location.
Contingent Workforce Solutions or MSP typically includes:
- The recruitment and management of temporary workers, contractors, consultants and statements of work
- Effective management of sourcing channels including panel agencies, through a single source point
The underpinning of Contingent Workforce Solutions or MSP services by a vendor management system (VMS) provides visibility of the workforce, cost control and management information.
Under an MSP service, resources are primarily sourced from external recruitment agencies or vendors and a variety of sourcing structures can be adopted, including:
Neutral Vendor – all suppliers have equal opportunity to recommend candidates or resources.
Master Vendor – the provider and sometimes its sister companies have the first opportunity to recommend candidates or resources prior to distribution to a wider supplier panel. This model drives cost savings by leveraging the volume supply opportunity of the master vendor.
More evolved models of MSP may also include a Direct Source component, where the MSP provider’s onsite team directly recruits suitable contingent candidates.
Payroll & Contractor Management Office
Hays Talent Solutions can offer the third-party payroll, invoicing and administration of non-permanent workers who have already been identified by an organisation. This service mitigates risk through while providing contractor care and guaranteed on-time worker payments.
Vendor Management System
VMS technology is used to administer the engagement process of non-permanent workers and resources from requisition to sourcing, onboarding, time sheeting and invoicing. Vendor Management Systems drive management information to assist in strategic decision making around sourcing strategy, population tenure and cost control.
