We are seeking enthusiastic and community-minded individuals who are passionate about supporting young people to thrive. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful youth programmes in a flexible, casual capacity.

Your new role

As a Youth Assistant, you will support the delivery and supervision of engaging youth programmes designed to empower young people and foster personal and social development. You will provide positive leadership, encourage participation, and help create a safe, inclusive environment for all participants.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of youth programmes and activities
  • Providing active supervision and positive engagement with young people
  • Supporting a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment
  • Acting as a positive role model to build confidence, resilience, and life skills
  • Monitoring participant wellbeing and responding appropriately to risks

What you'll need to succeed

  • Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) check (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
  • Current Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and school holiday periods.
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Relevant qualifications or studies in youth work, community services, social work, education, or a related field
