Our client is seeking a motivated and mechanically minded individual to join their Service Centre team in Cairns. This is a fantastic opportunity to multi-skill across a variety of operational and customer service duties in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Your new role
Reporting to the Service Centre Manager, your role will be diverse and rewarding. You will be responsible for completing works orders based on customer requirements, supporting warehouse operations including receipting and shipping, managing stock control and replenishment, and liaising with customers and Hose Doctors to ensure premier service delivery. You’ll also play a key role in developing customer relationships and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards.
What you'll need to succeed
Your mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently will be key to your success in this role. You’ll be organised, customer-focused, and capable of managing daily tasks efficiently. Training and support will be provided to help you succeed.
Skills and Qualifications required for this role:
- Mechanical aptitude (Mechanical Engineering Trade preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of hydraulic components advantageous
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Current driver’s licence
- Forklift licence preferred (training can be provided)
- Commitment to providing premier customer service
