Your new company My client is one of Australia’s oldest family-owned winery and vineyard In this position you will play a pivotal role in driving the safety performance, by overseeing the development and implementation of a safety driving culture, by training and coaching managers, supervisors and workers on site on their individual and collective safety responsibilities.
Your new role Reporting to the HR Manager, the position is responsible for the following:
- Actively contributes to the provision of a safe and healthy working environment
- Actively contributes to the implementation of plans aimed at reducing accidents and near misses
- Conducts regular safety inspections and recommends corrective action
- Manages the company WHS and Injury management system
- Assesses the effectiveness of personal protective equipment
- Establishes basic safety training programs for all employees
- Assists managers to maintain compliance with company safety policy
- Ensures company compliance with legislative requirements
- Monitors statistics to identify areas of high injury that may need corrective action
- Maintains knowledge of WHS developments
- Ensures incident / accident investigations are carried out as per relevant process
- Acts on recommendations following incidents
- Facilitates regular OH&S meetings

What you'll get in return
This role is paying anywhere from $80,000 up to $110,000 – dependent on experience.
