Your new role
As a Waste Coordinator, you’ll lead the delivery of efficient and environmentally responsible waste services. This newly created role involves supervising the waste team, managing waste collection and recycling operations, and overseeing key waste-related projects from planning to completion. You’ll also play a vital role in driving service improvements and shaping the future of waste management.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous supervisory experience and strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of waste management practices and regulations
- Contract management experience
- Solid understanding of Work Health and Safety regulations
- Basic to intermediate computer skills (MS Office)
- A commitment to values such as honesty, empathy, accountability, respect, and teamwork
- Qualifications in waste management or environmental science and experience in a similar government or community-focused role will be highly regarded.
