A leading food manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all logistics activities across a large, complex manufacturing site with production / warehouse facilities. With substantial investment underway, this is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader to shape the direction of a growing site and build a high-performing logistics and warehousing function.

This well-established Australian manufacturer is undergoing a major phase of growth and modernisation. Operating a high volume facility with diverse and sophisticated processing equipment & warehousing, they are committed to best practice, reliability, safety and operational excellence.

Your new role

In this pivotal newly created position, you will play a key role in managing warehouse and distribution operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring the seamless flow of goods across national and global supply chains.

You will be responsible for leading a high-performing team across warehousing, transport, and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and track all inbound and outbound shipments (domestic and international)
  • Collaborate with Production to ensure customer delivery schedules are met
  • Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff, including performance reviews and workforce planning.
  • Oversee inventory control systems and ensure accuracy in stock levels and reporting
  • Plan and manage transport and distribution operations, including fleet and third-party logistics
  • Negotiate shipping rates and contracts, ensuring competitive and cost-effective solutions
  • Liaise daily with Customer Service, Quality Assurance, and Shipping departments
  • Monitor KPIs, analyse logistics data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards
  • Build and develop a logistics team culture focused on accountability, efficiency, and service

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a similar logistics or operations management role
  • A people leader with the ability to drive performance across teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory systems
  • Proficiency in logistics software and modern warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • High-level communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive and collaborative approach with a focus on operational excellence
  • Experience in FMCG, food or pharmaceutical industries (preferred)
  • Full, unrestricted Australian work rights
