Vehicle Relocator

State Gov team looking for Vehicle Relocator for current ongoing project based out of Ballarat site.

Your new company

Hays are the preferred supplier choice to Federal, State and Local Government organisations as well as leading employers in Health, Technology, Insurance, Education and Utilities across Ballarat & Regional Victoria.

I am currently partnered with a State Government Department who are seeking a Vehicle Relocator to join their Ballarat based team in a temp vacancy thru March 2026.

My client is a vital part of Victoria’s healthcare system, delivering high-quality emergency and non-emergency services across the state. As part of their commitment to operational excellence and patient care, we are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Fleet Vehicle Relocation Officer to join their dynamic team.

Your new role

Reporting to the Fleet Operations Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in the safe and efficient relocation of my client's fleet vehicles across Victoria. This hands-on role involves delivering and exchanging vehicles and equipment at state-wide branches, hospitals, and other designated locations. You’ll follow prioritised movement instructions, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure vehicles are roadworthy—reporting any defects promptly.

You’ll also build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, uphold safety standards, and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This role requires flexibility, with travel across metropolitan and regional Victoria, occasionally outside standard business hours.

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
  • A current Victorian Driver Licence (manual capable; Light Rigid preferred)
  • Proven ability to read and navigate road maps
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
  • Attention to detail and basic computer literacy (Outlook desirable)
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Victoria
  • Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid work rights

What you'll get in return

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a state-wide organisation that values safety, inclusion, and community impact. My client offers flexible work arrangements, a supportive team environment, and the chance to make a meaningful difference across Victoria.

A temporary engagement through March 2026 within State Government with potential for extension, a competitive hourly rate of $34.65 + Super.

Temporary and Contact workers through Hays also enjoy a wide range of benefits including:
  • Weekly pay cycles
  • Nominated choice of Superannuation fund
  • Online timesheet submission and approval
  • No hidden fees or costs for our services
  • Free online learning platform to enhance your skills
  • Regular contact with your Hays consultant throughout the duration of your assignment.
