A major Australian Government agency is seeking an experienced EL1 equivalent Technical Property / Estate Manager to support the management and oversight of a diverse overseas property portfolio.
Your new role
Reporting to a senior property function within the agency, you will provide technical estate management advice and oversight across a portfolio of Commonwealth owned and leased overseas properties. Key responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the development and prioritisation of annual maintenance programs and minor works
- Provide technical input into scopes of work, sequencing and planning, balancing competing priorities and logistical constraints
- Monitor works progress and emerging estate issues, providing timely, pragmatic advice
- Engage with contractors, consultants and service providers to support effective service delivery
- Communicate inspection findings, risks and recommendations professionally and clearly
- Support compliance with legislative, policy, security and governance requirements relevant to overseas property
- Contribute to improving estate management practices, systems and service delivery models
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in technical estate, property or facilities management, ideally across complex or remote environments
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning, minor works delivery and risk based decision‑making
- Proven ability to work across international, multicultural and complex stakeholder environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, briefs and recommendations
- Ability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively within a government governance framework
- NV2 security clearance required, but applicants with NV1 Clearance are encouraged to apply.
