Your new role

As a Civil Infrastructure Technical Officer, you’ll oversee the planning, inspection, and delivery of civil engineering projects. This includes road construction, stormwater systems, footpaths, car parks, and traffic management devices. You’ll liaise with contractors, service authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure works are completed to specification, on time, and within budget. You’ll also contribute to long-term asset planning and provide technical guidance across subdivisions, reinstatement works, and infrastructure inspections.

What you'll need to succeed

A Certificate in Civil Engineering or substantial experience in civil construction and maintenance
Strong knowledge of IPWEA subdivision guidelines and local government standards
Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans
Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary civil works and inspections
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil CAD (desirable)
A current driving licence, White Card, and traffic management certification
