This public sector organisation is responsible for managing and maintaining council tree assets that support community safety, amenity and environmental outcomes, with a strong focus on customer service and compliance.

Your New Role

As a Technical Officer - Arboriculture, you will carry out technical inspections of council tree assets, provide arboriculture advice and respond to customer enquiries.

Working independently in the field, you will assess tree condition, identify maintenance requirements and ensure works comply with safety standards, while delivering a high standard of customer service.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Certificate III in Arboriculture
  • Minimum 5 years’ arboriculture experience
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Strong tree identification and species knowledge
  • Knowledge of tree maintenance requirements under AS4373
  • Ability to work safely as a lone worker
  • Excellent customer service and de ‑ escalation skills
  • Confidence using digital systems and technology
