Your new role
This is an interactive and rewarding opportunity for you to assist clients with their day-to-day living while encouraging them to maintain their independence.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Assisting in dispensing client medication and adherence to client support plans.
- Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports.
- Managing complex and challenging client behaviours (including aggressive behaviours)
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with varying disabilities.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Support individuals in attending medical appointments, accessing community resources, social inclusion, and wellbeing activities.
- Monitor and document client progress and care provided.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and other team members to ensure holistic care.
What you'll need to succeed
This organisation is looking for applicants with experience in the support sector who are dedicated, reliable and have great communication skills.
To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid (P) Blue Card and Yellow Card
- NDIS Worker Screening
- Certificate III in Disability Support or Community Services or similar
- At least one (1) year of experience as a disability support worker
- Current CPR and First Aid Training
- Current driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Flexible working hours
What you'll get in return
The position offers an attractive wage of $40.00 per hour plus superannuation and penalties, with an estimated 25-40 hours of work per week. With a range of different shifts available.
