Supply Controller

Seeking an experienced supply controller to assist with warehousing inventories

Hays are partnered with a large state government department, based in Jandakot. They are looking for entry level supply controllers to assist in their supply warehouse.

Your new role

The Supply Controller provides administrative and operational support to the supply chain function, ensuring accurate system updates, timely processing of supplier-related activities, and effective coordination of day-to-day supply tasks. The role supports warehouse operations through supplier administration, reporting, expediting activities, and general supply chain administration.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Manage a small portfolio of suppliers providing low-volume supply to the warehouse
  • Act as a point of contact for supplier-related enquiries via phone or email
  • Manage the shared mailbox
  • Support expediting activities to ensure on-time supply and issue resolution
  • Maintain accurate supplier and order records
  • Perform system updates to ensure accurate supply and inventory information
    • Run standard reports to support supply chain operations
    • Monitor data accuracy and escalate issues where required
  • Support warehouse and supply teams with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Maintain and manage documentation in line with organisational procedures
  • Assist with general supply chain and inventory administration as required
Essential
  • Experience in an administrative or support role within supply chain, logistics, inventory, or procurement
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data and system updates
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and business systems
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Desirable
  • Experience managing supplier relationships or vendor administration
  • Familiarity with inventory or supply chain systems
  • Previous experience supporting warehouse or logistics operations

What you'll get in return

The role is being offered on an initial temporary contract. You will also be offered:
  • 38 hours – Monday to Friday
  • Hourly rate equivalent to level G3.1
  • 12% super
  • Free parking on-site
  • 3-month temporary position, with possible opportunity for a 3-month extension.
