Street Cleaners Needed

Position: Street Cleaner

Location: All across Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Employment Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday) with weekend overtime

Hours: 38 hours per week with overtime opportunity

Shift: Night shift (10pm to 6am)

Hourly Rate: $40 per hour (night shift rate)

Job Description: As a street cleaner, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our city streets clean. Your duties will include:

• Off-siding: Getting off and on trucks continuously unloading the street bins into the back of the rear loader vehicle
• Broom and Scoop: Using brooms and scoops to sweep debris and dirt from footpaths and roadways.
• Operating Blowers: Using blowers to clear leaves, dust, and other debris from side-walks and kerbs.
• Occasional Driving: Occasionally driving a rear loader vehicle to complete the pick-up runs
  
  

Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Valid HR Licence: You should hold a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) licence.
• Physical Fitness: Street cleaning can be physically demanding, so you should be fit and able to walk long distances.
• Team Player: You’ll work closely with other crew members, so teamwork is essential.
• Willingness to Learn: On-the-job training will be provided, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are crucial.
