Our client is seeking an experienced Strategic Policy Advisor to play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and guiding strategic initiatives that drive organisational success and policy innovation.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the organisation's Strategic and Operational Plans.
- Facilitate professional and collaborative engagement processes to identify priorities and shape planning outcomes.
- Spearhead strategy development to support implementation of the organisational objectives.
- Conduct high-level, strategic planning of critical initiatives and projects, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Perform research and analysis to prepare and present key initiatives to support organisational goals.
- Apply governance structures to enable effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage the preparation of Annual Report requirements in accordance with legislative obligations.
- Develop and refine policies to streamline governance, enhance operations, and minimise complexity.
- Establish robust internal communication channels to ensure stakeholders are well-informed.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Proven ability to synthesise complex information at a strategic level and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
- Adept at assessing policy implications, providing recommendations, and facilitating changes with diverse groups.
- Skilled in leading the development of strategic policies and initiatives within a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Demonstrated experience in crafting concise, impactful submissions and policy documents.
- Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to manage sensitive issues and competing priorities.
- Proven success in building collaborative relationships with executive-level and operational stakeholders.
- Track record of leading strategic programs and policy development processes through effective engagement and negotiation.
- Familiarity with government decision-making processes and ministerial operations is highly regarded.
