Our client is an established and global Aviation company, specialising in Aircraft Management, Aircraft Sales, Charter, Defence and Maintenance. Hays has partnered with their Cairns facility to seek an experienced Stores Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.
Your new role
As Stores Supervisor, you will report to the Supply Chain Manager providing professional direction and leadership in the effective and efficient management of the Cairns Facility Stores Operation. Your responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, ordering stock and handling queries.
- Lead and coordinate the Stores Team, managing deadlines and targets.
- Manage inventory, including receipt, dispatch, and tracking of stock
- Maintain accurate documentation through the ERP system and track stock levels for budget control.
- Conduct regular audits of stores documentation, including annual stock takes.
- Ensure compliance with Company Policies and Civil Aviation regulations for parts and materials control.
- Maintain accurate records for parts and materials at the Cairns Facility.
- Ensure timely return of core exchange units to suppliers or customers.
- Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Order parts per company policies and within timeframes to meet job deadlines, maintaining appropriate inventory levels within MRO and Avionics.
What you'll need to succeed
You have a strong background in Stores Operation and Management, and additionally hold:
- Experience in similar role (Aviation industry is desirable)
- Experience leading and managing a small team of people.
- Effective communication including written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
- Ability to work with a range of different internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to maintain a network of applicable suppliers and relevant stakeholders.
- Computer Literate in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Experienced with or have knowledge of packaging and shipping requirements for dangerous goods.
- Previous experience within Customer and results focused environment
- Self-motivated & proactive.
