Stores Person

Permanent Trades Assistant role based in Karaatha, paying up to $70'000 to start immediately.

Your new company

Your new company is a sustainable paint company, experts in coatings and based in over 150 countries. They are looking for a stores person and would consider someone on a Working Holiday Visa for the right candidate for 6 months with experience in a similar role.

Your new role

In your new role as a Trades Assistant your duties will include but not limited to:

* Maintain a high standard of customer service through effective handling of stock within the centre

* Process & generate relevant documentation and transactions e.g. Sales, Dangerous Goods documentation, returns, delivery dockets and consignment notes etc. as required

* Liaise with customers

* Undertake cycle counts of stock

* Participate in stock takes for their duration

* Undertake purchasing, despatch and invoicing of goods, as required

* Receive goods documentation,

* Receive and shelf pack replenishment stock

* Pick orders, put away incoming stocks, despatch goods, tint paint, load & unload vehicles

* Receive and process customer orders via phone, mail, in person, etc.

* Other warehouse duties as required

* Assist the TC Manager with regular and timely reporting and data entry for the business, as required

* Provide regular reports or statistics to TC Manager as required

* Appropriately deal with damaged stocks

* Maintain tint formulae listing

* Maintain Chep pallet hire account

* In consultation with TC Manager, develop continuous improvement plans for the Trade Centre

* As part of the Trade Centre Team, develop safety and 5S housekeeping plans

* Communicate with suppliers

* Service customers, build good customer relations and handle customer complaints

* Work as a part of the Trade Centre team

* Run the Trade Centre in the absence of its manager, with reference to sales personnel on any issues outside expertise.

* Assist Trade Centre team by skill sharing



What you'll need to succeed

  • A good understanding of stock movements & storage
  • Ability to undertake manual handling activities
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn the company system
  • Ability to deal appropriately with customers
  • Must have a good customer focus and the ability to cope with various priorities concurrently.
  • Good team-orientation
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be detail-minded and have good organisational skills.
