Hays are pleased to partner with a leading hospitality supplier dedicated to providing quality products and outstanding customer service across the region. They are seeking a causal Stores consultant to work within their Cairns branch, 20+ hours per week across Monday-Friday.
Your new role
As a Hospitality Stores Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service and supporting store operations. In this role you will:
- Greet and assist customers in-store and over the phone
- Prepare quotes and process transactions using POS systems
- Handle cash, reconcile tills, and maintain security procedures
- Unpack, barcode, and replenish stock while maintaining store presentation.
- Pick and pack orders and assist with stocktakes
- Liaise with internal teams including Sales, Warehouse, and Purchasing
- Participate in team meetings and monthly safety inspections
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous retail experience, ideally in hospitality or catering
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- POS knowledge and confidence handling cash
- Ability to learn product ranges and provide tailored solutions
- High attention to detail and pride in store presentation
- Physically capable of manual handling and standing for long periods
