Your new role

As a Town Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in assessing and managing planning applications, including development proposals, subdivisions, and local development plans. You’ll work independently to prepare reports, issue determinations, and provide expert advice to stakeholders. Your responsibilities will also include public consultation, mediation, strategic planning projects, and contributing to policy development—all while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

- A tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of WA planning legislation, policies, and procedures
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience in local government planning (desirable)
- A current driving licence and solid computer literacy
