About the Role:We are seeking a Specialist Operational Readiness professional to support the safe, effective handover and transition of new or modified assets into operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that systems, processes, people and governance are fully prepared to operate and maintain assets in line with technical, safety and operational standards. You will work across project, construction, commissioning and operations teams to deliver operational readiness plans, manage risk, and ensure assets are fit for purpose from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimise and govern operational readiness and asset/maintenance strategies;
- Prepare and deliver operational readiness plans, schedules and handover deliverables;
- Evaluate systems, procedures and documentation for compliance with engineering, operational and legislative standards;
- Define and manage handover requirements between project and operational teams;
- Support the development of training, familiarisation and operational documentation;
- Verify construction methodologies and provide engineering advice in line with project standards;
- Apply safety risk management practices to improve organisational safety outcomes;
- Identify, assess and manage operational, project and safety risks using established risk frameworks;
- Support project delivery through effective planning, tracking and governance;
- Provide technical expertise, assurance and continuous improvement inputs across the asset lifecycle.
What you'll need to succeed:- Proven experience in operational readiness, asset handover, or project-to-operations transitions.
- Strong understanding of operational systems, workflows and risk handover processes.
- Experience developing and implementing operational readiness plans and governance framework.
- Sound safety risk management experience within operational or project environments.
- Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards across design, construction, commissioning and operations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across disciplines.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Full Australian working rights.
