With a strong presence in the Asia ‑ Pacific region, this organisation delivers cutting ‑ edge solutions across wind, hybrid and grid ‑ connected renewable projects. Due to sustained growth, a rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Specialist Grid Integration Engineer to join their high ‑ performing OEM division.
Your new role
You will lead grid connection activities across major renewable energy projects, providing specialist modelling expertise and ensuring technical compliance throughout project delivery. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, network service providers and key stakeholders, you will guide projects through complex grid requirements and contribute to capability development within the OEM division.
Key responsibilities
Lead power system studies and modelling using PSCAD, PSS/E and PowerFactory.
Define generator performance standards, reactive plant requirements and control system specifications.
Review BoP design packages and ensure compliance with grid codes and project standards.
Liaise with NSPs/ISOs and present study findings.
Prepare technical reports, customer presentations and grid compliance documentation.
Mentor junior engineers and support process improvements.
Coordinate with internal converter control, SCADA, grid and BoP teams.
What you’ll need to succeed
Degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering; postgraduate qualifications advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in grid connection and power systems modelling for major renewable or infrastructure projects.
Expertise in PSCAD, PSS/E and/or PowerFactory; Python skills highly regarded.
Strong understanding of grid codes, weak grid environments and system strength.
Knowledge of STATCOMs, synchronous condensers, HVDC or grid ‑ forming BESS beneficial.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
