Our client is a well-established Australian organisation currently embarking on a large-scale, long-term transformation program. As part of this journey, they are seeking a Solution Architect to join their team on an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension. This is a pivotal role at the early stages of the program, offering the opportunity to influence key technology decisions and shape enterprise-wide solutions.
Your new role
As the Solution Architect, you will play a key role in designing and evaluating technology solutions across a multi-year transformation program. You’ll work closely with enterprise architects, IT project teams, business stakeholders, and SMEs to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and aligned with strategic objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:- Leading solution design activities and producing architecture artefacts such as Solution Options Analysis and Solution Design Documents.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, BAs, and technical teams to evaluate solution options and identify dependencies.
- Presenting technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders, adjusting communication style to suit technical and non-technical audiences.
- Rapidly learning new technologies and applying those insights to solution evaluation and design.
- Managing competing requirements and stakeholder expectations to drive consensus and clarity.
- Contributing to the uplift of enterprise architecture practices and promoting alignment across technology streams.
Experience with security-related solutions such as CASB, IAM, and DLP will be highly regarded, as will the ability to integrate security considerations into broader solution designs.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in an architecture capacity (e.g., Solution Architect, Program Architect, Security Architect).
- Proven ability to produce architecture artefacts in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- A proactive, delivery-focused mindset and the ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities.
- Experience working across complex technology environments, identifying dependencies and impacts.
- Familiarity with CASB, IAM, and DLP solutions is a plus.
