HAYS have partnered with a mid-sized Wireless Network / VoIP communications company in their search for a Software Engineering Manager. The role will have circa 10 direct reports, consisting of Senior to Principal Embedded / C++ Software Engineers.

The company is a market leader in their field and has some of the best Embedded Engineers in Sydney working for them. They are in expansion phase due to increased requirements from their international client base, so this is a great opportunity to join a team and business which is very much on the up.

Overview of the role & responsibilities

Manage and motivate a team of 10-15 Embedded Software Engineers
Spearhead strategic initiatives for wireless communications research across HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM and acoustic communications
Be the technical point of contact and customer project manager for a portfolio within the international client base.
Collaborate with C-Level stakeholders in order to deliver outcomes aligned with the broader business strategy

Previous Experience required

10-15 years experience in Software Engineering
Previous experience of leading a fast paced, dynamic team
Expert in C++ Embedded Software Engineering
Software Engineering experience in; Defence, Wireless Network, Communications
VoIP knowledge & experience
Australian Citizen and eligibility for NV1 Clearance
