Hays Recruitment is collaborating with a prominent utility corporation in Darwin, Northern Territory. Their mission is to identify an experienced social media specialist who will develop, lead and implement the social media strategy, and support the delivery of digital campaigns and projects to support the corporation’s purpose and vision.
Your new role
- Lead the implementation of our social media strategy to ensure the social media marketing mix customise messages for customers on each channel.
- Conceptualise and write engaging, educational or captivating content in line with our brand and customer focus.
- Monitor social media activity and commentary to identify opportunities to better inform and engage with customers.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to plan, develop and schedule outward-facing content to support communications and marketing objectives.
- Contribute to the Corporate Affairs team plan to successfully deliver strategic outcomes.
- Work outside business hours as required, including monitoring social media platforms.
What you'll need to succeed
Essentials
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a relevant digital field.
- Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills suitable for a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated skills to maintain an understanding of constantly social media best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, plan, produce and schedule strategic content.
- Demonstrated the ability to foster good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated experience of applying strategic judgement, solving problems and making decisions.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience implementing a social media strategy across multiple channels.
- Demonstrated experience writing engaging, educational and captivating content for social media that reflect trending industry standards.
- Demonstrated experience of developing processes to keep abreast of social media commentary and manage responses.
- Demonstrated experience customising content to effectively reach audiences across different social media channels.
- Experience using social media and digital applications to produce, publish and disseminate digital content will be a plus.
