Your new company
You will be joining a well‑established civil contractor with a long history of delivering complex earthworks and environmentally focused infrastructure projects across multiple states. The organisation is currently expanding its South Australian operations and is seeking a hands‑on leader to support the delivery of a major landfill and bulk earthworks project. With steady growth plans in place, this is an opportunity to become a key part of a developing regional team backed by experienced project leadership.
Your new role
As the Site Supervisor, you will oversee day‑to‑day operations on a large civil project involving bulk earthworks, landfill construction and associated capping works. You will lead a team of operators on site, ensuring production targets, safety standards and quality requirements are met. The role is highly practical and will involve coordinating plant and labour, conducting safety and quality checks, supporting basic survey activities, managing GPS‑enabled earthworks, and completing all required documentation such as daily records and timesheets.
You will act as the primary site‑based representative, working closely with travelling Project Managers and Survey personnel, and helping to establish and develop the company’s long‑term presence in South Australia.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong experience in civil construction, ideally with a background in bulk earthworks, landfill construction, lining systems, GCL installation or similar environmental infrastructure. You must be confident supervising crews and comfortable with a hands‑on approach in a fast‑paced site environment. Experience operating or previously working alongside plant operators is highly valued.
You will also need the ability to manage administrative responsibilities, such as paperwork, reporting and site documentation. Exposure to GPS systems, survey support or earthmoving technologies will be an advantage. Candidates with Australian experience will be prioritised, though relevant international experience will also be considered.
What you'll get in return
You will have the opportunity to step into a pivotal role within a growing region of the business, becoming the first supervisor appointed in South Australia and helping shape the long‑term structure of the local team. You will receive ongoing support from senior project staff, exposure to technically challenging work and the possibility of extended employment beyond the initial project period. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking career progression, stability and a leadership role within a specialist civil contractor.
