Site Finance Lead – Manufacturing – Shepparton

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Site Finance Lead to join a large, complex manufacturing operation based in Shepparton. This role offers real influence at site leadership level, partnering closely with operations to drive performance, improve cost outcomes and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Reporting to the Group Operations Finance Manager, you will play a hands-on role supporting one of the organisation’s largest manufacturing sites, combining strong financial stewardship with commercial insight and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading site finance activities, including managing and mentoring a site-based Manufacturing Accountant
  • Acting as a key business partner to the Site General Manager and Operations Leadership Team
  • Owning month-end close, variance analysis, forecasting and insightful performance reporting
  • Driving the annual budget, rolling forecasts and long-term strategic planning processes
  • Managing manufacturing variances, conversion costs and cost recoveries
  • Supporting capital projects and improvement initiatives through robust financial modelling and analysis
  • Overseeing site costing processes, including standard costs, BOMs, routings and inventory integrity
  • Ensuring strong governance, controls, balance sheet reconciliations and audit readiness
  • Championing continuous improvement and value creation initiatives across the site

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualified in Finance or Accounting, with CA or CPA certification
  • Proven experience in a large FMCG, manufacturing or complex operational environment
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial insights into operational actions
  • Confident communicator, capable of influencing stakeholders from shop floor through to senior leaders
  • Hands-on, proactive and comfortable balancing detailed analysis with big-picture thinking
  • Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel skills; Power BI exposure is beneficial.
