Hays has partnered with a Brisbane-based builder & developer who's seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a flagship multi-residential apartment project in Redcliffe. This is a site-based role supporting delivery of a large staged development with strong systems, resources, and long-term pipeline.

The role has a strong quality, coordination and delivery focus, supporting the Project Manager and site team to ensure works are completed in line with contract documentation, Australia Standards and Construction best practice.

Your new role

Reporting into the Project Manager & Quality Assurance, you will play a critical role in maintaining construction quality and controlling risk across the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and executing project QA processes, including ITPs and inspections
• Coordinating and closing out non-conformance and incomplete works via Procore
• Reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, submittals and consultant documentation
• Ensuring subcontractors meet quality, documentation and compliance requirements
• Supporting construction sequencing, trade coordination and methodology planning
• Assisting with inspections, certifications, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Providing regular quality and compliance reporting to the project team
• Working collaboratively with administrators, subcontractors, consultants and stakeholders

This role suits an engineer who enjoys being hands-on, detail-driven and embedded on site, with the authority to influence quality outcomes early rather than chasing defects late.

What you'll need to succeed

• Trade background or tertiary qualifications in construction or engineering
• Experience as a Site Engineer on multi‑residential or apartment projects
• Strong knowledge of QA processes, ITPs and construction documentation
• Confidence working with Procore or similar document management systems
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and building regulations
• High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across site teams
