Are you an experienced Sheet Metal Worker who enjoys custom fabrication rather than repetitive production work?

We are recruiting for an established and growing Gold Coast manufacturer seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join its workshop team permanently. This is a hands-on role completing varied sheet metal fabrication and assembly work using a range of materials, tools and machinery.

You’ll be trusted to interpret drawings, measure accurately and complete quality fabrication work without being micromanaged.

What’s on Offer

$42–$48 per hour + super, depending on experience
Permanent, casual position with a clear pathway to full-time
Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm

Trade qualification preferred but not essential for the right experienced candidate

Your New Role

Manufacturing construction products
Reading drawings and accurately marking out materials
Measuring, cutting and folding custom flashings
Welding aluminium and steel components
Operating folders, guillotines and press brakes
Completing general sheet metal fabrication and assembly
Checking finished products for accuracy and quality
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area

What You’ll Need

Strong measuring, marking-out and fabrication skills
Ability to read drawings and work independently
Experience operating folders, guillotines or press brakes
Welding experience with aluminium and/or steel
High attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
Reliable attitude and commitment to workplace safety
Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade would be highly regarded but is not essential
