Your new role
As an APS3 Service Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for clients accessing counselling and wellbeing services. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team, providing frontline customer service and administrative support to ensure smooth, compassionate, and efficient service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting and assisting clients in person, by phone, email, and SMS
- Managing appointments and client records via the Client Management System
- Supporting coordination of regional events, group programs, and internal meetings
- Handling travel arrangements, invoices, resource requests, and property maintenance
- Maintaining accurate records and correspondence with internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with reporting, data entry, and quality assurance tasks
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated experience in health services or government operations:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities
- Professional and empathetic approach to client service
Mandatory Requirements
- Australian citizenship (as per APS employment eligibility)
- Ability to obtain or currently hold a Working with Vulnerable People registration or Working with Children check
- Ability to obtain or currently hold a Baseline Security Clearance
