Your New Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Village Manager / Assistant General Manager to lead the operations of a large purpose-built student accommodation community on the Gold Coast.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the village, ensuring operational excellence, financial success, a high-quality resident experience, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Leading a multidisciplinary team across operations, facilities, administration and customer service, you will drive occupancy, foster a positive residential community and ensure the village operates in line with all contractual, compliance and commercial requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the village and leading a team of operational staff
- Developing and delivering annual business plans, budgets and operational strategies
- Managing financial performance, forecasting, reporting and cost controls
- Driving occupancy outcomes through effective sales, leasing and marketing initiatives
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with university stakeholders and key partners
- Leading resident engagement initiatives to create a safe, inclusive and vibrant community
- Managing contractor, supplier and service provider relationships
- Overseeing capital works, asset management, refurbishment projects and maintenance programmes
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, policies and procedures
- Driving continuous improvement across operational performance, resident satisfaction and commercial outcomes
- Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing team while fostering a positive workplace culture
- Representing the business at stakeholder meetings, industry events and community forums
