Your new role:
You will act as technical authority, providing support for customer-deployed systems and lab infrastructure. Key tasks include:
- Managing configuration and support for deployed systems.
- Assisting the System Engineering Group during integration and testing phases.
- Supervising system installation
- Providing prompt and remote assistance to customers via Support Helpdesk.
- Participating in a 24x7 on-call roster for support phone duties.
- Travelling to customer sites within Australia and overseas for post-installation support and maintenance.
What you need to succeed:
- Australian Citizenship, with eligibility for an NV1. Existing clearance is highly regarded.
- An AQF Level 5 qualification or equivalent in Electronics and Communications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IT as it applies to operational technologies.
- Several years of experience as a radio or electronics technician.
- Proficiency in systems documentation, including schematic and cabling diagrams.
- Strong PC skills, including software installation and setup.
- Experience with ITIL and Managed Service contracts (advantageous).
- Incident and problem management experience.
- ITIL certification or familiarity with ITIL core fundamentals.
- The ability to troubleshoot and manage technical incidents.
- Innovative approach to documentation and process improvement.
- Melbourne location or willing to relocate to Melbourne.
