You’ll be working with a Federal Government Department, supporting the delivery of new capabilities within a specialised command. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national security and forensic innovation in a hybrid work environment.

Your new role

The department is seeking three Senior Specialist System Administrators to join on a 12-month contract with potential for extension. These roles will support complex deployments and bespoke solutions across a range of technologies including:
  • Role 1: Kubernetes (OpenShift), Linux (Red Hat/Ubuntu), Elasticsearch, Hadoop, SQL, Prometheus/Grafana, S3 Storage
  • Role 2/3: Windows AD, Citrix, Windows OS Support, SQL, System Monitoring
You’ll collaborate with technical teams, advise on architecture, and contribute to secure, scalable infrastructure solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in system administration across Linux or Windows environments
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, monitoring, and cloud technologies
  • Ability to obtain or hold NV1 Security Clearance
  • Australian Citizenship is mandatory
  • Willingness to travel as required
