Engineering are searching for an experienced Statutory Planner to join a
growing regional Local Government in Western Australia's South-West. This is a
permanent opportunity offering flexible hours.
Your new role
Reporting to the
Coordinator Planning, you will be responsible for ensuring the Council fulfils
its planning responsibilities whilst adhering to applicable laws and policies.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Undertaking strategic
planning tasks and projects within the Local Government Framework
including amending schemes, creating local planning policies, delivering
development contribution plans, strategising for the local community and
addressing important land use and development concerns
- Undertake statutory planning
processes including Development Applications, Responsibility Authority
Reports, subdivision applications, local development plans
- Customer facing support
including addressing issues, investigations into non-compliance, and
stakeholder liaison
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in
this role you will need:
- Bachelor of Arts in Urban and
Regional Planning or equivalent
- Strong skills with Microsoft
Office Suite
- Demonstrated experience in
Statutory Planning
- Comprehensive understanding
of Local Government Planning Policies
- 'C' Class Driver's License
