Your new role
As the Senior Oracle Developer, you’ll play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and supporting Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, APEX applications, and other Oracle-based solutions. This role is hands-on and spans the full Software Development Lifecycle—requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, testing, integration, deployment, and documentation.
You’ll work within an Agile environment, contributing to multiple concurrent projects while collaborating closely with software engineering, architecture, DevOps, release, business engagement, and product teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and developing high-quality Oracle solutions aligned with business requirements.
Troubleshooting and resolving incidents, defects, and support requests.
Producing technical documentation, design artefacts, and knowledge base updates.
Providing technical leadership, mentoring, and thought leadership within the team.
Driving automation, process improvements, and adoption of modern engineering practices.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Extensive experience in Oracle Forms & Reports and PL/SQL development (minimum 5 years).
Experience across the full SDLC in large and complex enterprise environments.
Knowledge of Oracle BI (OBIEE/ODI) is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.
Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and conceptual thinking abilities.
Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership in mentoring, quality assessment, and technical guidance.
Ability to estimate effort, produce architectural and design artefacts, and contribute to planning.
Oracle database concepts, data modelling, version control, XML, WebLogic, shell scripting.
Exposure to REST APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, CI/CD tools, JIRA.
Relevant certifications or a software engineering degree/diploma.
