My client, a global manufacturer, requires a senior scheduler for a 6-month role with potential permanent opportunity, based in Henderson, paying up to $70ph.

Your new role

Reporting to the SSA planning & scheduling manager in the enterprise program management office (EPMO) function, this role is accountable for project schedule construction, baselining, aligning resource profiles and performance measurements.

  • Act as an expert advisor to the project team(s) on forecast project effects of proposed or actual changes to the schedule.
  • Proactively and regularly review and challenge schedules to ensure they are accurate and represent best practice.
  • Provide schedule oversight, support analysis and guidance to project schedulers to develop and maintain the master schedule.
  • Ensure schedules are constructed in accordance with scheduling standards and can be utilised internally for project execution and forward-facing for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure schedules are coherent, complete to drive Project Management decision-making and adherence across projects.
  • Update and maintain schedules on a weekly basis. Escalate outstanding areas of data.
  • Ensure consistent reporting of project progress, highlighting areas of concern.
  • Establish and execute effective monitoring, forecasting, and reporting processes for the successful delivery of projects
  • Reporting of Program status through the Contract Master Schedule.
  • Continually review reports produced to ensure they meet the needs of the business.
  • Analysis – where we can see things going off track? How do we provide advice/forewarning proactively to project delivery teams.


What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will need the following:

* Australian citizen
* Eligibility to hold an Australia baseline security clearance
* 3–5 years experience in a scheduling role in shipbuilding (preferred) construction or defence.
* Excellent qualitive and quantitive analytical skills.
* Knowledge of EVM and related disciplines to enable cost and schedule variance tracking and reporting of performance indicators, including project forecasting and ost estimation (ETC & EAC)
