Your new role
The primary purpose of the position of the Senior Recovery Business Partner (SRBP) is to lead the connection between the department's Operations and Information and Communications Services (ICS).
Accountabilities
- As a conduit between the department's operations and technology, the Recovery Business Partner will lead the continuous articulation and prioritisation of program requirements and will establish a strategy to ensure senior stakeholders are effectively engaged, consulted and informed.
- In turn, the SRBP will provide leadership advice to the business units to foster a strengthened alignment to the technology roadmap, consequentially enabling the leverage and benefit from the Recovery Program’s value proposition.
- In alignment with existing governance and processes, the Recovery Business Partner will provide representation of ICS in the development of Notifications and Business Cases.
What you'll need to succeed
- Provide leadership advice to business units to comprehensively assess and understand technology needs. Subsequently, identify and prioritise opportunities to enhance processes through IT solutions. Develop and continuously review and prioritise the backlog of work/requirements.
- Act as a lead conduit for transparent and efficient communication between ICS and the business unit/s, conveying technical information in a comprehensive and consumable manner. In turn, clearly communicate business requirements to ICS stakeholders to ensure effective achievement of outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Change & Communications team to lead change initiatives, guiding business units in comprehending and adopting technological solutions. Effectively address concerns and facilitate a seamless transition for enhanced organisational efficacy.
- Identify IT-related risks that may impact operations and provide leadership on strategies to minimise disruptions whilst ensuring the security and reliability of systems. Proactively provide advice to program governance forums on risks and proposed mitigation strategies and take ownership of risks as required.
