Your new role

As Senior Project Officer – Procurement, you will take a leading role in supporting procurement-related transformation projects within the Integrated Management Office (IMO). Acting as a key point of contact, you’ll provide expert advice, lead process improvement initiatives, and drive best practices across systems, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading procurement-related project activities from planning through to delivery
- Evaluating and improving existing procurement systems, policies and processes
- Collaborating with Charter Leads and SMEs to consolidate requirements and build effective solutions
- Developing documentation, project plans, templates, reports and procurement guidelines
- Supporting test plans and procurement system implementation with vendors and internal teams
- Providing expert advice on procurement policy, contracts, and risk
- Facilitating training and capability development for internal users
- Building effective partnerships with stakeholders across finance, operations and procurement

What you'll need to succeed

- Proven experience of managing procurement projects in large or complex environments
- Strong understanding of procurement systems, contract administration and compliance
- High-level analytical, reporting and documentation skills
- Ability to manage competing demands and deliver under tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel

Desirable
- Experience in the public or higher education sector
- Familiarity with Finance One or similar financial systems
- Relevant qualifications in procurement, project management or commercial disciplines
