An outstanding opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Project Manager – Business Transformation to lead a complex, enterprise‑wide ICT transformation program within a large, highly visible public sector environment.
Your new role
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will take ownership of the end‑to‑end delivery of one or more major ICT and business transformation projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage internal and external delivery partners, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and aligned to strategic outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning, execution and delivery of complex ICT and business transformation initiatives
- Managing the full project lifecycle, from initiation through to deployment and benefits realisation
- Driving delivery through Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, supported by structured governance (e.g. PRINCE2)
- Providing strong leadership and direction to project teams of up to 10 staff
- Managing executive‑level stakeholders, vendors and delivery partners
- Establishing and maintaining robust governance, risk, reporting and change controls
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement through technology
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a proven senior project leader with experience delivering complex digital or ICT programs in large, regulated or enterprise environments.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, ICT, Information Systems or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex, enterprise‑scale ICT or digital transformation projects
- Strong Agile delivery expertise, supported by certification or extensive hands-on experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within time and budget constraints
- Experience leading, mentoring and motivating high‑performing project teams
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a salary of between $150k-$170k+Super, plus the opportunity to deliver large digital projects within a well-known government body.
