Rates: $1000 - $1100


Your new role


The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the Procurement project – Digital Enablement project, including supporting the change to the business, in accordance with the department’s ICT project delivery standards.


Accountabilities


  • Provide leadership and direction to the (at times, flexible and virtual) project team, capitalise on and leverage resource skills, foster an environment of shared success within the team and contribute to the cultivation of a strong commitment to customer focus and excellent service delivery.
  • Proactively manage and be responsible for the successful delivery of ICT projects within agreed tolerances for scope, budget, time and quality, with a focus on effective management of financials, contracts, quality, risks, issues, project change and business change.
  • Manage projects in accordance with the relevant Department and Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) frameworks, processes and standards.


What you'll need to succeed


  • Experience working with procurement systems like Zycus is mandatory.
  • Experience with business process improvement projects, ideally resulting in process simplifications supported by digital applications.
  • Ability to drive vendor outcomes, working with a largely offshore development team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (outcome first, not technical), comfort presenting to senior stakeholders (Dep Sec, EDs & Directors).
  • Well-rounded soft skills with the ability to build relationships with (and influence) project team members and stakeholders
