Hays is partnering with a top-tier mining organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager for a critical Safety PLC Upgrade and Network Lifecycle Refresh program. This is a high‑visibility contract role within a complex, brownfield operating environment, with strong potential for extension.

Your new role

You will lead the delivery of an end‑of‑life of a network lifecycle refresh, ensuring minimal disruption to operational and safety‑critical systems. This role sits at the intersection of OT, IT, and infrastructure, requiring strong stakeholder engagement across engineering, operations, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
Delivery oversight of a network lifecycle refresh (Cisco infrastructure)
Management of scope, schedule, cost, risk, and change across multiple workstreams
Coordination with electrical engineering, controls, networking, and site operations teams
Vendor and systems integrator management
Ensuring compliance with site safety standards, governance frameworks, and operational protocols
Clear and confident reporting to senior stakeholders within a Tier 1 mining environment.

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in mining, heavy industry, or infrastructure environments
Strong background in OT/IT projects, including network upgrades (Cisco) and/or PLC replacement programs
Experience delivering end‑of‑life technology refreshes in operational environments
Comfortable leading projects involving safety‑critical systems
Excellent stakeholder engagement and contractor management capability.
