Your new company

Ideally located in the Northern area of the Greater Sydney Region, this reputable council has a wide scope of interesting assessment works currently available. The Senior Planner opportunity will allow the successful candidate to join a strong local government planning team working across a range of complex assessments with exposure to land and environmental court appeals. You will be encouraged and supported by their switched-on multidisciplinary team on an initial 6-month contract basis.

Your new role

With no signs of development slowing in the area, and a large increase in development applications, the team are looking to bring on an experienced Senior DA Planner to assist with a range of interesting applications. You will assist the team to help process applications accurately and within designated timeframes.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have a minimum of 3 years’ previous experience in Development Assessment in a NSW Local Government Authority or State Government, as well as a tertiary qualification in Planning or related field. You will be required to work as an expert witness on various Land and Environmental court class 1 appeals; therefore you must be able to negotiate solutions to complex and sensitive matters.
