Our client is a large, well-established organisation based in Perth's north of the river. They are on the lookout for a temporary Senior Payroll Officer for a short-term contract with a chance of extension.
Your new role
As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a high‑volume workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
- End‑to‑end payroll processing for a large employee base
- Interpreting and applying awards, EBAs, and relevant legislation
- Managing payroll reconciliations and post‑pay activities
- Handling complex payroll queries and escalations
- Assisting with audits, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Supporting system improvements and process efficiencies
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Payroll Officer or similar role in a large organisation
- Strong experience using large payroll systems such as SAP, TechnologyOne, Chris21/CHRIS, or similar
- Proven ability to manage high‑volume, complex payrolls
- Excellent knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and compliance
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
